Hartigan - Request for Interim Use Permit |
|
Mr.
Hartigan appeared to apply for an interim use
permit to operate a cement business out of his
home. The clerk issued a recommendation form to be
reviewed by the county with the conditions being
(1), the owner will waive the rights to appeal
future assessment for road improvements, (2) the
owner will dedicate a road easement as necessary

| Discussion
of the need for the Township to participate in an
Alternative Urban Area Wide Review (AUAR) |
|
Mr.
Roach, Township Attorney, explained that the
county planning department is advising the
Township to conduct an review of the current road
and water situation in the Township considering
the proposed development of the 700 acre Wasie
Property by Laurent Builders.
The developer
is planning on paying the majority of the cost of
this study. It was suggested that the Township
contribute $12,000 to $15,000 towards this study,
an amount that would be charged to other
developers as they come forward with proposals. A
motion was made by Maas to authorize participation
in this study for an amount not to exceed $15,000
with the condition being that the Township be kept
fully involved in road and water findings. Motion
was seconded by Schommer. All in favor. Motion
carried.
